Halloween Fun 


First and Second class had a great end to the term, finishing our work on celebrations around the world with some traditional Halloween games! We also learned about Diwali and El Dia de Los Muertos, creating our own Sugar Skulls and Rangolis
Houses and Homes 


First and Second class have spent the last couple of weeks learning about the different types of houses and homes that we all live in! We created floor plans of our homes, described the similarities and differences we found, and finally in Science built our own homes using spaghetti and marshmallows! We built amazing homes [β¦]
Recount and Rice Krispie Buns 

First and Second class have been busy these past few weeks practising their recount writing! We have worked in groups to choose the correct βBossy Wordsβ and βTime Wordsβ to write some excellent recounts! Our favourite however was a recount on what we did when we made Rice Krispie buns
Hot Air Balloons

All of the girls in Mercy were treated to a visit from Carol and her team from the Hot Air Balloon championships! We learned loads of new facts about how to fly a hot air balloon, and even got to climb inside
Autumn Leaves

First and Second Class went on a lovely nature walk to the park to explore some of the changes that occur during Autumn! We collected some leaves that had fallen to the ground and created leaf rubbings when we returned to the classroom! Notice the beautiful autumn colours we chose too
First and Second Class 2022-2023

First and Second class have settled in really well to their new class, and have loved getting to know one another these first couple of weeks! We are really looking forward to the year ahead
Our beekeeper Emma 

Our 3rd class pupil Emma gave a fantastic presentation today to 1st class,explaining all about her new hobbyβ¦.bees! With the help of her parents,Emma has opened up a βbee hotelβ in her back garden. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with us
Asian Elephants 

First class had a fabulously informative and fun zoom with Dublin Zoo where they learned all about Asian elephants and watched footage of them in the zoo. The girls were fascinated and we then wrote reports on the Asian elephants to show our newfound knowledge.
Well-being in First Class

First class had the most amazing 4 weeks in January with Ann Hoare who did some fabulous well-being activities with us. They learned different ways of breathing to help them to calm down and deal with their emotions β butterfly breathing is one of their favourites. She also did lots of guided meditation with the [β¦]
