Playground fun: Senior Infants and Sixth Class!
Sixth Class taught Senior Infants some new playground games during the month of September. We really enjoyed this and wish to thank our fabulous Sixth Class girls!
Carol Singing
5th and 6th class had a lovely time singing Christmas carols in Birr Community Nursing Unit and Birr Library this week.
Rugby
6th class have really enjoyed their rugby sessions with Denis!
Vex Robotics
4th, 6th and Senior Infants are very excited to be taking part in Vex Robotics this year. They are currently creating their robots which will be programmed using coding in the new year.
Sixth Class Zoom with Derek Landy
Thanks to Joe Kinnane in Birr Library for hooking us up with a great zoom with author Derek Landy. Derek is world famous for his Skulduggery series which gave us our inspiration for our art lesson. Check out our creepy illustrations.
Summer Camp August 2021
We held a very successful summer camp the last week of August. The sun shone on us and the girls had a ball.
Sixth Class Graduation 2021
Our fabulous Sixth Class had their Graduation Ceremony on Friday June 18th. We wish them the very best of luck in the future.
Science Week Day 1 in Rang 6
Scientist Marty Jopson creepy crawled into our classroom showing us headlice, wood lice, house spiders, pond water, hydra and blood to name but a few! It was a super interesting presentation and kicked off Science Week in style!!
Maths Week!
We did many activites to celebrate Maths Week in our class. We don’t always love Maths but there are so many fun ways to learn. We especially loved the Maths Trail prepared by Ms. Dermody. Thanks for that.
