Aistear in Junior and Senior Infants

Our theme this month is Frozen. The girls are having great fun investigating waterproof materials, making frozen jigsaws, designing dresses for Elsa and Anna, making snowmen, constructing palaces and much more…..       

Sixth Class and Microsoft Dreamspace.

Sixth class had a fantastic day on Tuesday 14th January when they visited St Brendan’s Community School. They took part in a workshop hosted by a team fro Microsoft Dreamspace. They learned how to code and created their own games. It was very enjoyable and they learned a lot.    

Happy Christmas

Happy Christmas from Third Class.   There was great excitement in school this week. The girls showed off their amazing talents in our Talent Show. IT Project in 3rd Class

Third Class  joined up with Junior and Senior Infants recently and together they worked on an IT Project, using the Book Creator App on the iPads. Each group wrote, designed and published a book and then presented it to the class. It was a wonderful project and all the children worked really hard. Well done […]

PE in Third Class

  Third Class are enjoying their PE lessons this term. They are taking part in an Athletics Programme with Offaly Sports Partnership. Here they are working on various skills including, throwing and catching, running, jumping and balancing. The girls are also learning Tag Rugby and look forward to the lessons every week.

We visited the Post Office

Junior and Senior Infants are learning about the Post Office in Aistear. They visited the Post Office today. They waited in queue before buying a stamp, they put the stamp on their addressed envelope and posted it in the green letter box.
