Mosaics
For art this week, second class have been learning about mosaics. After we looked at some examples of mosaics we created our own, using cut out pieces of paper. Each child designed and created their own mosaic.
Summer Scenes
Second class created their own 3D summer collages over the last fortnight. They planned and prepared their own backgrounds at first. Then they added various 3D images. We were delighted with the final pictures.
Sun, Moon & Stars
In Geography second class were learning all about the sun, moon and stars. As part of their lesson they also created their own sun, moon and stars. Second class were very happy with their artwork once it was completed.
Life Cycle of a Frog
Second class, with Ms. Kelly have been finding out this week all about the life cycle of a frog. They completed these group projects which were very interesting.
Underwater Scenes
Second Class completed underwater scenes in small groups. It took a lot of planning and preparation and the children worked very well together. It took the girls two weeks to complete and the results were beautiful.
Second Class Construction Project
Over the last month second class have been planning and completing a construction project in art. They created various types of houses. Firstly they drew up their plans, then they constructed their own houses. They were delighted with the results and their hard work paid off!
