First and Second class have been learning about the different features of report writing, so today we put our skills to the test to find facts about Arctic animals and Farm animals using mentor texts✏️ Each group will share what they found, and use their facts to complete a report on their chosen animal!

First and Second class had a great end to the term, finishing our work on celebrations around the world with some traditional Halloween games! We also learned about Diwali and El Dia de Los Muertos, creating our own Sugar Skulls and Rangolis 😍

First and Second class have been busy these past few weeks practising their recount writing! We have worked in groups to choose the correct “Bossy Words” and “Time Words” to write some excellent recounts! Our favourite however was a recount on what we did when we made Rice Krispie buns 😍😍

All of the girls in Mercy were treated to a visit from Carol and her team from the Hot Air Balloon championships! We learned loads of new facts about how to fly a hot air balloon, and even got to climb inside 😍

First and Second class have settled in really well to their new class, and have loved getting to know one another these first couple of weeks! We are really looking forward to the year ahead 📚✏️⚽️🎨🎭💙
