Autumn in Second Class 🍁🍂

We have been very busy these past few weeks in Second Class, learning about Autumn, the changes that occur at this time, the life cycles of trees, going on a tree hunt in our local parks, illustrating our Family Trees, and creating 3D versions in Art!!

Fun in the Sun ☀️

 We have been very lucky this week with the sunshine and have been having great fun in the Junior yard, very kindly painted by Mrs Murray! ☀️❤️💙

I am just right!

This past week, second class have been looking at all the traits that make us unique. We are caring, friendly, happy, funny, supportive, hardworking and much, much more! Every girl brings something very special to our class ❤️💙

Circle of Friends

We’re are already at the end of our first week back, and now more than ever it’s been important to rely on our friends! We’ve really enjoyed being back together, and have loved laughing, playing, and working together again 🙂

Water Water Everywhere!!!! in second class

 This week we explored the role of water in energy creation.  We discussed how water is used to power mills and power plants.  We looked at water wheels and how they are used to create energy…….And then we had SOME fun making one!!!!

Maths Week 2019

 What a great week in Mercy Primary.  It was World Maths Week.  We enjoyed maths so much.  More photos to follow……

National Tree Day 2019

 On National Tree Day, we spent the day learning about trees and  enjoying our natural environment. We combined it with learning about the artist Kadinsky and studying his abstract trees.
