Tag Rugby Blitz

6th class had a fun-filled sporty day at the tag rugby blitz, hosted by Birr Rugby Club. They had great fun and played really well together as a team.  

Seachtain na Gaeilge 2019

Tá Lá na Gaeilge ar siúl ar an Déardaoin sa scoil.Tá cead ag gach duine rud éigin glas a chaitheamh an lá sin. Féach ar na damhsóirí as rang a cúig agus a sé agus iad ag  cleachtadh an Damhsa “Ballaí Luimní” Nach deas an t-léine atá á chaitheamh ag an Múinteoir!!

STEM Project with St Brendan’s Community School

6th class travelled to St Brendan’s Community School to work on the STEM project with Mr Byrne and some TY students. The girls got to work with Micro-bits and had a great time learning how to programme them.

Maths Week Fun

We had lots of fun during Maths Week in sixth class. We played lots of maths games, solved a different maths problem everyday, took part in a maths quiz with fifth class and had lots of fun running around the school on our maths trail.

Agri-Aware Talk

We had a talk on Farm Safety today with Alma. It was very interesting and we learned a lot about being safe on the farm. Thanks Alma!                                                 

Hard working scientists

Fifth and sixth class explored forces in science recently, focusing on magnetism and levers. They had great fun making their own magnetic cars and racing them at the end of the lesson.
