June 2012. Visual arts in first class.The girls are very proud of their pottery creations.A lot of teamwork and many hands were needed to produce a large pottery planter,with all the girls’ names engraved on the outside.The girls also had lots of fun painting Summer scenes using brushes, sponges and in some cases it was hands only!

May 2012. In first class our clay is taking shape! Every Friday we can’t wait to get stuck in; moulding, shaping, rolling, and creating.

April 2012 First Class Pottery

First class had a very enjoyable pottery class. They were shown how to mould the clay into bowl shapes in preparation for the making of pottery heads. First Class went on a Minibeast Hunt.

  First class had a busy morning in Camcor Park on a Minibeast Hunt. The pupils were very good bug detectives. They found many species including ants, spiders, snails, ladybirds , earthworms, woodlice and even quite a large bumble bee made a brief appearance.            

March 2012 Lá na Gaeilge

Bhain rang a haon an taitneamh as Lá na Gaeilge. Bhí siad ag damhsa, ag canadh, ag imirt cluichí gaelach agus ag comhrá as gaeilge. Bhi siad ag caint sa rang agus amuigh sa chlós.

March 2012 Float your Boat

First class were testing their scientific skills on the theme of Floating and Sinking. They predicted, tested,  and observed ensuring that there was fair testing. They recorded their findings and compared their results. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Easter Activities

First class was a hive of activity as the pupils prepared for Easter. The girls decorated Easter Eggs, painted hard boiled eggs and learned all about the story of Easter. There was a great atmosphere in the room and the girls made their own Easter Cards with pop-up Easter Bunnies.
