Making butter in Third class
Today we did an experiment to see could we make butter!And guess what……we succeeded!!!
1st Communion day has finally arrived!!!

IT Project in 3rd Class
Third Class joined up with Junior and Senior Infants recently and together they worked on an IT Project, using the Book Creator App on the iPads. Each group wrote, designed and published a book and then presented it to the class. It was a wonderful project and all the children worked really hard. Well done […]
PE in Third Class
Third Class are enjoying their PE lessons this term. They are taking part in an Athletics Programme with Offaly Sports Partnership. Here they are working on various skills including, throwing and catching, running, jumping and balancing. The girls are also learning Tag Rugby and look forward to the lessons every week.
Science Fun
Third Class have been enjoying their Science lessons this term. During Science Week they visited the Theatre and enjoyed fun with Bubbles the Clown. They did various experiments in class. Happy Halloween
The girls in Third Class had great fun learning about the History of Halloween and it’s traditions. They learned lots of Halloween poems and songs. They played some Halloween games, tasted barmbrack, carved pumpkins and created lovely art work too.
Hot Air Balloons
Third Class really enjoyed the Hot Air Balloon Festival which took place in Birr recently. They were fascinated to see one of the balloons in Mercy Primary! In Art Class the girls experimented with mixing colours and created beautiful hot air balloons. They look fabulous in our classroom.
