Term Two in First Class

Ms. de Chaumont’s First class have had a very busy month of March.
They celebrated World Book day by dressing up as their favourite book character and throughout the day they took part in Buddy Reading, On-line fun, Art activities and they had a Guest Reader. Each child received a present of a book. They visited the library also for story-time.
The children learned about St. Patrick and completed some art activities for this special day.
The girls spoke Irish as much as they could in the classroom and on the yard during Seachtain na Gaeilge. They learned poems and songs about St. Patrick and they even sang them on the 5km walk on La Glas!
First Class wrote lovely poems for Mothers’ Day and created beautiful flowers for their Mammies.
The girls are enjoying Dance with Kevin and they are also taking part in an Athletics Programme.
And to finish off the term First Class visited the Theatre to see ‘Hansel and Gretel’. It was a fantastic show and the girls enjoyed it very much.

Happy Easter to you all
