October in Third Class
The girls in 3rd class have been very busy this month. They celebrated Friendship Week, Math’s Week and Climate Week. They took part in an Environmental Workshop with Dale Treadwell and they also learned about Farm Safety. For PE the girls took part in a fitness programme working on jumping, running, hopping, throwing and balancing. In Gaeilge, they learned all about ‘Ag Siopadóireacht’ and they enjoyed learning their new Irish phrases and using them in their drama. The girls also learned about Halloween, it’s origins and traditions. They dressed up in spooky costumes, played Halloween games and created lovely art work.
