What a Night!!

What a Night with Mercy Primary School!

On Thursday 13th December, the girls of Mercy Primary School took to the stage of the Marian Hall and wowed a huge audience with their talented singing, dancing and acting. Every child from Junior Infants to 6th class was involved.

The show started with the angelic Junior and Senior Infants performing songs from the musical Born in a Barn. They were gorgeous and stole the hearts of everyone watching them.

Third and Fourth classes gave us a wonderful Christmas alphabet poem, followed by some very modern and stylish dancing and some beautiful singing.

The very talented First and Second classes performed the musical nativity – Lights, Camel, Action. One of the highlights of this was the Funky Camel dance which had everyone rocking in their seats. For sure however, the fabulous and groovy Disco Star brought the house down with her moves. A brilliant performance all round from these girls.

After the interval, Fifth and Sixth classes treated us to The North Pole’s Got Talent – the X-Factor had better watch out after this performance! The three judges – Santa Claus, Mrs Claus and Ruby Red Lips had their work cut out for them trying to choose a winner from this talented bunch! Great fun all round.

Mercy Primary School choir treated us to some beautiful Christmas carols  and the rest of the  girls from First class to 6th class joined them onstage for a Greatest Showman medley. A special mention has to be given to Kayla Shalloe who led the song A Million Dreams – this  girl will go far with that voice!

All in all, a wonderful night’s entertainment was had by all who supported the show. Well done to all and we look forward to future productions.
