What an Experience!
On Saturday March 1st our school choir travelled to The Hub, Kilkenny to take part in the 2014 Peace Proms and what an experience we had!
There were choirs from Waterford, Laois, Wexford,Kilkenny, Carlow, Roscommon, Tipperary and of course, Offaly. The concert was conducted by the internationally recognised conductor, Gearóid Grant. Emmanuel Lawlor, tenor, Patricia Treacy, violinist and Patrick Martin, piper performed and The Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association treated us to some wonderful moments.
The Cross Border Orchestra was amazing and it was fantastic for us to be accompanied by such a wonderful group.
The girls sang beautifully, along with the other choirs. The atmosphere was electric and it is an experience we will remember for a long time to come.
