5th Class are a class of ‘geniuses’
On Wednesday the 12th of November we participated in a Sugru workshop in Birr library
which was presented by a scientist from Ingenious Ireland named Patrick.
First of all we learned about Irish inventors and did you know ….. Tayto Crisps were
invented by an Irish inventor. Then we started to come up with ideas
about our own flavouring of crisps.
We then were each given a paper clip and had to come up with ideas of what
we could do with the paper clip. Some childrenthought of earrings ,
clothes hangers a hook and lots more.
After that we got a piece of our own Sugru and started to put them on our pens ,
controllers , pencils etc. After that Patrick told us to leave it for 24hrs to set.
We really enjoyed the Sugru workshop and we are so thankful for Patrick coming in.
