Sunny Sunflowers
Second Class planted sunflower seeds in late Spring. We gave the seeds plenty of sunlight and water to help them grow. Within a few weeks little green shoots appeared. They grew taller and taller. Every girl kept a sunflower diary and we measured our flowers from time to time. We are having […]
Second Class visited the Playground
Second Class visited the local playground. We had great fun on the swings, slides, climbing frames and roundabouts. PE is so much fun!
We love Reading
Second Class took part in a Reading Challenge in Birr Library recently. They were very busy in the last term reading as many books as they could. Altogether the children read 353 books. Well done Every girl received a certificate. Here is a picture of us receiving our certificates in the library.
Community Games Art Competition
Second class entered the Community Games Art Competition. They produced some excellent entries. Huge congratulations to Kayleigh Corrigan, Leanne Carroll, Aoife Carroll, Hannah Riley and Megan Ward – our lucky medal winners.
St. Valentine’s Day in Second Class

Be Safe, Be Seen – Second Class
Second Class took part in a Road safety campaign. They learned the importance of being safe and being seen, on our roads. Each child received a Hi Glo Silver arm band and a certificate. They also entered an art competition. They had to make a poster that glows in the dark!! Here are a few of the […]
