Birr Castle
Second Class visited the beautiful gardens in Birr Castle recently. The sun shone down as we strolled around.
First we admired the magnificent castle. Next we looked at the enormous telescope. Then we walked around the lake. We saw ducks with their ducklings and a lovely white swan. We ate lunch down by the river. After lunch we explored the Millennium Gardens. The children had great fun rolling down the hill and some girls made daisy chains. As we left the grounds we saw the new Tree House. We can’t wait until it’s finished!
We really enjoyed our trip to the Birr Castle.
