Fifth prepare for Senior County Final 2013

  As we, in Mercy Primary School, are so proud of our Birr Senior Hurling team, we decided to make some posters to decorate our school windows.  Best of luck to Birr in the county final this coming Sunday.  Biorra Abú!!!

Celebrating World Peace Day in Mercy Primary School

We will be celebrating our School Mass on Friday 27th September at 1.15pm  in St. Brendan’s Church.   All are welcome to attend.

School Re-opens On Monday 2nd September.

Mercy Primary School re-opens for pupils on Monday September 2nd  at 9.10am.   We look forward to welcoming back all our girls and especially our new Junior Infants!

First class visited Turoe Pet Farm on 13th June 2013.

Sunny Sunflowers

      Second Class planted sunflower seeds in late Spring. We gave the seeds plenty of sunlight and water to help them grow. Within a few weeks little green shoots appeared. Second Class visited the Playground

Second Class visited the local playground. We had great fun on the swings, slides, climbing frames and roundabouts. PE is so much fun!        

We love Reading

Second Class took part in a Reading Challenge in Birr Library recently. They were very busy in the last term reading as many books as they could. Altogether the children read 353 books. Well done  Every girl received a certificate. Here is a picture of us receiving our certificates in the library.
